What is the cause of trans-gender in one paragraph or three ...
Okay,
so this is going to be a fun one. I am going to give a link at the
end to some medical studies and also another more explanatory blog on
this subject in-depth, but I am limiting this to a paragraph. Okay,
not quite, but almost one.
There are two primary phases to an embryo I am going to talk about, genital development and the brain.
In about 1-2% of the world population, for a trans-gender person, there are receptors that are sensitive to hormones, these being testosterone and estrogen. Due to androgen sensitivity and genetic markers that are present, those hormones are presented to each stage in an un-balanced fashion, i.e. some are blocked more and other are absorbed more. In the case of a trans-woman, the genitals receive testosterone and further on through to the brain development there is less testosterone present and more estrogen, this causes the brain cortex / structure to obtain a more female function than male. For a trans-gender male, this will be the opposite.
Without getting in to the weeds, some of the genetic markers involved are … ERα, SRD5A2, STS alleles, ERα, SULT2A1 genotypes, AR-ERβ, AR-PGR, AR-COMT, CYP17-SRD5A2. You can read about them in some of the links listed in the last blog reference I provide below.
In reality then, a non-trans person just gets their genitals and brain cortex form with one basic hormone and a trans-gender person, one is more prevalent than the other at simply two stages of fetal development, genitals and brain cortex. Not hard really is it ?? There is no weird delusions going on, no odd fetish when a fetus is 20 weeks old, no social constructs happening. It's all biology.
Now, with these self-identifying people – that is different and they will not be mentioned here, they are cis-gender males or females who are un-diagnosed and mostly live in states that allow someone to identify as something or someone as they please. Again, these people are not trans-gender. I know there are some people who say you can be trans because you feel like it, well, that is fine, all trans-gender people start that way, but, unless you are diagnosed, you are just like a person saying they are autistic without a diagnosis. Can you get autism services without a diagnosis ? No. Am I going to get flamed by the trans-community for dismissing the 'identifying' crowd – maybe, but I am basing my assessment on SCIENCE. Does feeling come in to play, of course, but it goes hand in hand with diagnosis.
So where did I come by this knowledge ? It's been researched for a few decades and is widely supported by many medical studies. There are from Harvard school of medicine, National Institute of Medicine, various agencies from the UK, EU, Australia, Brazil, Mexico.
There, that's it. The 64,000 foot view.
So you maybe asking where is all the other trans-gender narrative come in to play here ? The fetishes', child mutilations, self mutilations, pedophilia, autogynephilia, etc etc. That doesn't exist, it's basically nonsense made up around the early 2000's and 2010's. All you have to do is go and research the subject yourself, it's all there in the open universe of the internet.
Sorry for the let down, all the Facebook feeds and podcasts about trans-people being aliens from proxima centuri, nope, just regular people. But But But .... nope. :-/ you've been told a bunch of fibs.
