Trans gender - what it is and what is isnt ...
This I decided to put together for all my trans-gender friends. I am 'lesbian' so I have a lot of BI, Lesbian, trans-female friends. I also weirdly enough have some straight ones, but honestly, it's really not their fault, really isn't, honest, still love them all the same.
The internet is full of mostly junk related to things of a trans-gender nature, these being perpetuated by the orange headed man's administration, also other like-minded men. Basically MEN are pushing the anti-trans narrative, which too many people on places like facebook are sponging up as the truth including women who think there are millions of biological cis-men stealing scholarships, trophies and taking over their sporting events and restrooms. All that is fundamentally, horse manure.
There is a significant amount of studies the more than suggest that being trans-gender is genetic and biological – i.e. you are born that way. I have listed this at the end of the blog above a few dozen references used.
If you are a TERF or bigot, it's your first amendment right to free speech to 'think' whatever you like about others, whether their creed or color, but saying that, it doesn't then give you the right to disrespect the trans-gender community, belittle them, label them perverts, delusional, child abusers, child molesters, pedophiles, misgendering people by using “dude, sir, boy, man” if they are a trans-woman, or “girl, miss, lady” if they are a trans-man. That just makes you totally ignorant and a ugly shitty person – pardon my French.
During this blog, unless I specifically state a difference, which I do in the section related to criminality, trans-gender individuals / people / persons “identify-as” a different gender than there assigned gender at birth. The exception to this is were a cis-gender individual simply “associates-as” a gender. This is totally different. In the UK criminal justice system, they use an umbrella term “identify-as” to mean both identify-as and associate-as, there terminology is identify-as so that is the reference I use in that contest.
There are a bunch of myths going around, here are most of them along with real facts ...
Feeling, thinking, believing you are trans doesn't make it so ...
Let put aside that biological medical facts state otherwise that trans is a real thing like having two arms is a real thing.
So does feeling, thinking or believing make something less real ? You could argue that an imaginary friend isn't real, Santa Claus (although is based on a real person), flat-Earth, evolution etc etc.
What about being trans, having a feeling does it invalidate it ? Well, if you were born biologically male or female, explain how you know what you feel about being male or female is valid.
Your answer can't be like a 10 year old 'because'. You have to quantify your innate feeling and thoughts about why you are a boy or girl. If you can do that, then apply that to a trans-person. You have just validated their existence. If you cannot or don't have the mental capacity to validate your own self, then how can you in turn invalidate a trans-person, you cannot.
I am not trying to trick you with words, just basic logic.
What about if you believe in a god ? Can you prove that your belief, feeling, thoughts on your god can turn that inner feeling of spirituality in to hard evidence that makes it true ? If you cannot, then neither can you dismiss a trans-person for their beliefs in themselves. Again, just saying 'because' or I have 'scriptures in a book' doesn't count because the later can be mostly disproved by scientific evidence, even my own belief systems do not hold up under scientific scrutiny except for some written texts from 1AD to 1600AD.
How much then about ourselves do we trust in feelings and beliefs – quite a bit.
Straight men who date trans-women are gay …
If you ask a psychiatrist or other mental health professional, there are 260,000 – 280,000 in the US, they will tell you NO. The reason being in GENDER identity. If you are a biological woman and you are heterosexual, then you will be attracted to males. Vise versa for biological men.
Now if you were to switch bodies, are you still attracted to men ? Yes.
So the physical body isn't what drives sexual orientation. If you are a straight male and you get to know a trans-woman, she is attractive to you, that doesn't make you gay, you are attracted to the gender norms of what is a woman. This again is no different than a trans-woman dating a bi or lesbian biological woman, this isn't a heterosexual relationship just because the trans-woman happened to be born in a male body, it's her gender identity and her sexual orientation, so that relationship is deemed to be gay or lesbian by definition. Fig 19
Trans-women are just men in dresses ...
In a nutshell, NO. This isn't simple cross-dressing and that very statement “man in a dress” is very derogatory and is really no different than saying a black woman is just a white woman with a tan, which is highly racist. But both racism and the deliberate misgendering of a trans-person is the same thing – bigotry. Like I explain further down in the section on delusion, nothing much more needs saying here.
However you may ask “how can I tell the difference between a real trans-woman and a fake man-in-a-dress pretending / associating-as in order to harass women ?” well, trans-women do actually make an effort to be kind, courteous, friendly and dress like they actually care to be presentable. That should be a huge clue.
Trans-athletes have stolen 900 medals according to UN …
Nope, false. The UN study obtained information from two web sites that had multitudes of duplicate records on each of it's own site and duplicates across both. In some cases many dozens of times. Both sites listing have NO verified data sources for the information. Fig 13.
According to multiple LGBTQ+ web sites related to sports, there has been 29 medals won by trans-athletes (fig 14). World wide there are only less than 20 professional trans-athletes and only a handful that transitioned AFTER already being a professional athlete. Any athlete transitioning before starting a sports career would NOT have any significant difference in muscle or hemoglobin function.
Trans-women all have autogynephilia ...
This is the general 64,000 foot view of what it is ... "Autogynephilia, a concept proposed by Ray Blanchard, describes a male's sexual arousal from the thought or image of themselves as a woman, linking it to some male-to-female (MtF) transgender identities, suggesting they are "turned on" by the idea of being female, contrasting with the view that trans identities are solely about gender identity. While influential in some circles, this paraphilic model is highly controversial, rejected by many trans people and clinicians as pathologizing, stigmatizing, and an inaccurate explanation for trans experiences, with critiques arguing it conflates gender identity with sexual orientation and misrepresents trans motivation."
So what this is, is a theory, "theory" from a single person, sexologist "Ray Blanchard" in 1989.
Without getting in to the weeds, with the exception of very FEW fringe trans-gender individuals that may exhibit this diagnosis, it has by and large been totally debunked over the decades and is no longer a mainstream talking point. The fact you are seeing it is simply because it's just another shock-n-awe anti-trans talking point.
The main take away when you read through various historical academic journals is that Blanchard himself was only using a small set of test subjects from his own practice and his theory was only initially circulated around some 200 other sexologists as a simple reference paper and not to dismiss the validity of general trans-gender transitioning. Yes – the entire reference paper by Blanchard got misused and blown out of all proportions, then got pushed out this year (2025) as some new fact to attack trans-gender individuals.
Another person who is involved in this and gets pushed around social media as a 'proving point' for Autogynephilia is Anne Lawrence. She is a transwoman and fellow sexologist who self-diagnosed as an autogynephilic, she was one of Blanchards researchers during the creation of his theories. Her main work revolves around reference material related to about 300 mixed test subjects of whom were trans-women and cisgender males, of which the percentage isn't known. She herself stated that Blanchard's work simply fitted her experience, and everyone's experiences are unique. Her research information and books are from the late 1990's and early 2000's, some two decades ago.
Some of her research material for her basis of their being around 86% of trans-women with Autogynephilia is then based upon her 300 person study that may also include around 200 trans-women who had gender reassignment surgery by a Dr Toby Meltzer during the mid 1990s. How exactly the interviews of patients occured and what form of questions were provided to form conclusions are unknown and therefore may not follow industry standards. However, given that sexology and trans-gender are not generally related, the concept of Autogynephilia remains a limited theory based on a limited set of test subjects given there are about 240,000 trans-women just in the US that have had gender reasignment surgery. This is why it's generally not considered useful is any trans-gender diagnosis by the modern professional base of therapists and psychologists.
The big question then, are trans-people “turned-on” by their new physical body ? No more than their cis-gender counterparts.
Trans-women are pedophiles / criminality...
Basically not any different than cis-gender individuals, in fact, less that normal. (fig 4)
There is a graph and chart being shown on Facebook (fig a) showing prison information from the UK prison system attempting to prove a huge discrepancy in sexual offenders being trans-gender, however the numbers are totally incorrect when pulled from actual UK government census data.
The amount of male and female in the population is off by a total of 5,000,000 people in each. There is a significant amount of non-reported LGBTQ+ people in the census data to the tune of about 200,000 to up to potentially a million (this is based upon user accounts based in the UK for grinder). The reference data on it shows 92 trans-identify prisoners ONLY. However, the important note to make here is that its references as "IDENTIFYING AS", this means there is NO differentiation between actual medically diagnosed trans-women and cis-male's that just say they 'are' a women, because the later implies they do NOT take any medication or are under medical supervision and therefore cannot be identified as trans-gender. The UK criminal justice system does NOT maintain different categories for this data for any statistics to be generated from such a document.
One important difference in terminology I used above, in “general”, a trans-person does “identify-as” gender X or Y, BUT, in the above example I had to differentiate between a real-trans-gender group and one that just associates-as.
As far as committing crimes, the UK criminal justice system cannot produce statistics on trans-gender crime rates as overall trans-gender individuals either are not implicitly tracked as the UK only uses gender-of-birth to recognize people and also where trans-gender individuals are identified, the numbers are so small that the statistics are fundamentally zero.
However trans-gender individual are twice as likely to become a victim of crime include rape that cis-gender women. There are many online references, but I list one. (ref 5).
Trans-women groom children ...
This is a basic dictionary definition of grooming ...
"grooming of children is a calculated process where an individual builds a relationship, trust, and emotional connection with a child (and often their family or community) for the purpose of sexual exploitation or abuse. This is a manipulative strategy designed to lower a child's inhibitions, establish secrecy, and reduce the risk of the abuse being detected or reported."
What can I say about that ? But total fabrication. (ref 3)
Trans-children are given irreversible surgeries and medications ...
Yes trans-children do exist, maybe half of all trans-gender people figure this out when they are pre-teen. Popular opinion is that children can't figure out their gender at that age, but, they can and do. They sometimes live with this knowledge for many years before their parents get to know. When trans-children become 18, then 20, then 25, they can remember back to 20, 18, 10, 6 years old and KNOW who they were, to deny someone that instinctive insight is basically child abuse.
When trans-children are diagnosed, it's with the FULL support of medical professionals. If determined the child is likely trans-gender, then they are given puberty blockers in only about 0.1% of cases (around a 1000 per year) (fig 7) with most undergo just social transitioning. These blockers have been used since the 1980's and while some believe these are harmful, very little evidence suggests it is. Even if there is a small risk, it's offset by the mental health benefits of allowing the child to get to understand who they are without puberty changing their body prematurely. They can then assess things at 18 and then choose a path, whether transition or not. If no, then puberty just happens a little late. Note that allowing gender affirming care to trans-children reduces the risk of suicide by around 4% (See- Williams Institute (ref 1))
Surgeries ARE NOT happening on minors and is added as a shock-n-awe item to bills to make people assume that such things actually occur. Gender affirming surgeries are NOT allowed to be given to minors. (ref 2)
Do trans-children then under-go mutilation, abuse or other such nonsense - NO.
Therefore you have NO right to call-out a trans-gender person a molester, child abuser or any other such derogatory term.
Trans children cannot possibly know anything about gender ...
Well, no, like I say above, when trans-gender individuals reach 18, 20 years old, guess what, they can still remember what it's like to be a minor and what they felt. You cannot dictate their feelings.
The anti-trans community thinks that children can't possibly know anything, well, they can and do. Mexico has such a study, in part of an all trans-gender study which concludes that it's not a mental illness. fig 20. Peru has even given up trying to label trans-gender people as ill and overturned anti-trans laws. fig 22 indicates that children do know they are trans from an early stage.
Many trans-gender people de-transition …
Nope, only about 1-2% de-transition. Not more to this. (fig 8) shows a reference from a pro-LGBTQ source as saying only 9%, however unofficially, it's significantly lower. So either way, it's low and mostly not regretting the initial decision but other social pressures.
Being Trans-gender is a delusion ...
Well, NO, certainly isn't a delusion. The concept of a trans-gender person being their specific gender identity is no different than you being gay or straight. How do you define your specific gender reality ? It's the same for trans-gender too. It's just as valid. A trans-person is born trans, that simple. Why would anyone presume otherwise ? For one thing, or a multitude, see the list of reference links to brain scan studies further down this blog. These basically prove trans-gender people develop as trans in the womb. fig 22.
Basically the core reason we know trans-people are born trans is because the DNA / genome says so. DNA is created in the womb, there are three distinct genome markers that trans-gender people have in greater numbers than a cis-gender person (if they have them at all), these are ... SULT2A1, SRD5A2 and STS. fig 24
There are many arguments about what is a woman and a man cannot be a woman, well, does your biological parts define you as a woman or in the case of a man, those genitals define him ?
Imagine you wake up in the morning and some how you are in the opposite genders body, for example you are female and wake up in a mans body, Who are you ? Have you just turned in to a man or are you still a woman ? You still think the same, you are attracted to your husband or boyfriend the exact same, just because your body doesn't align with your mental self identity, doesn't change who you are. You as a woman will still be asking yourself, where is my v-jayjay, where are my breasts ? Where is my face – why is it masculine ? This is how a trans-person is.
So when you say a man isn't a woman, you are misgendering a biological woman in effect, because SHE is in there, in between her two ears, just like you. Unless of course you don't mind defining a woman simply by her body parts ? “she looks cute, has boobs, hour glass figure” then she is a she, if however she “has flat boobs, no hips, look masculine...” she's not a woman. Then you have some serious issues.
When lets say a trans-woman at whatever part of her life realizes who she really is, her wanting to transition is simply the inner woman needing to externally match what she sees on the inside. She wants to be a complete woman. A trans-man wants the exact same thing. However, neither a trans-woman or trans-man will truly ever be complete. For example a trans-woman will never be able to naturally have a child, while this may seem strange, remember a trans-woman is a woman as her inner self, NOT a man. So as a woman, how would you feel if you could not have children ? Trans-women miss bearing a child and all the other time of the month events that a biological woman takes for granted. Are these things easy ? No, but a trans-woman isn't in this game for an easy path, she goes thru ridicule, growing pain of breast tissue, recovery of surgery, all to become the real her.
Trans-women are fake because they don't all get bottom surgery …
No, while it's true that not all trans-women feel like they need a vaginoplasty, because their genitals maybe so small as to not get in the way. The biggest reason is cost and recovery time. 20% of trans-women get a vaginoplasty, 67% would have one if they could. The recovery time of a vaginoplasty is between 3 and 12 months. It takes around a 3 month minimum to be able to move around and function. Then up to about 12 months to be fully functional. Many trans-woman are the bread winners in the household and simply cannot be out of commission for that long.
Fig 9 / 10 / 11
There is another factor too, electrolysis is needed to remove ALL hair follicles before the procedure. If electrolysis and laser hair removal is done combined, it can take between 6-10 months pre-op. This is around 1 hour a day. Electrolysis only is around 1 hour a day for 10-18 months. Then obviously the 3-12 months initial recovery to fully functioning human.
Trans-women assault women in bathrooms ...
So there is a great number of posts related to women not wanting MEN in women's safe spaces. This is a valid point, but there is an inherent difference between a cis-male and trans-woman as far as her mental positioning of self-existence that does NOT align with cis-male. Basically a trans-woman does NOT see herself as MALE and those female-only safe spaces also relate to trans-women safe spaces. Trans-women are 400% as likely to be assaulted by cis-men than biological women. Fig 12.
The crux of the question, how many assaults then happen in a woman's bathroom by trans-women ? Because we have to know this for the basis of the entire argument. The total number is – NONE. Fig 5. Yes, you likely have passed a multitude of trans-women in public restrooms every year and you had no idea, and yes, nothing happened. fig 23 shows UK data.
But women are assaulted in women's restrooms right ? YUP. But they are perpetuated by cis-males dosed up on the sex-drug “Testosterone”. Trans-women are on this anti-sex-drug “Estrogen”.
The bottom line is as a woman - you are totally safe in the restroom, you've been using it along side trans-women for decades and today.
From a 2016 survey, at least 67% of young people aged 18-29 support the use of restrooms by gender. Specifically 55% women support the use. fig 21.
Trans-women go naked in locker rooms ...
Generally speaking there are NOT any trans-women in locker rooms where they have not undergone complete transition surgeries, due to the obvious, genitals. Trans-women are sensitive about that area and either do not want to acknowledge the existence of it, but surely do not want others to see it either.
The few cases where there have been biological males in women's lockers rooms has been solely due to two things, state laws allowing people to just “IDENTIFY AS” << “associate-as” and therefore secondly, those laws allowing said individuals to in effect, trespass in women's spaces. NOTE – this then is a biological MALE issue and not a trans-woman issue.
Trans-women just transition to get in to women's sports ...
Nope, think about it, you think someone is going to go through all the stress, ridicule, medication, therapy sessions, later in life surgeries, JUST to beat a girl at darts or hitting a little fuzzy yellow ball over a net ? If ya do, then “cuckoo cuckoo cuckoo”.
I have a whole other blog related to trans-gender athletes and why 90% of the time, it makes no difference. However a quick summary …
If you transition prepubescent, then you'll just grow up in to a normal looking and performing girl.
If transitioning occurs in early adulthood, then yes there will be extra muscle etc, however with hormone therapy, those advantages are mitigated, muscle mass goes bye bye, bone structure weakens, hemoglobin function after 9 months drops to that of a biological woman. Ergo – trans-woman sucks at sports.
A previously professional athlete transitions, the body has been tuned to perform. However you are still using less muscle mass and hemoglobin function. However there maybe around 5% and change of advantage that needs to be taken in to account with penalties times.
But as far as professional trans-athletes, there are only a handful, maybe 20, there are 86,000 professional biological female athletes around the world, that is like 0.02%.
In general then, advantage little, none or in many cases, trans-women come second to biological-female athletes. Fig 15 / 16 / 17 /18
