So what do trans-gender people feel about being trans ...

A question I see a lot is “why do trans people transition ?” or “why do they think they are women ?”

Most of these comments are on some anti-LGBTQ group post, which when you think about it is pretty absurd that those people haven't even taken the time to research the subject they are complaining about.

Well, for a moment, if you are male, pretend you are a woman, because I am referring all this from a female standpoint, but it still applies to trans-men.

I will get you to conceptualize something. What if tomorrow you woke up with a male presenting body of yourself. Your breasts are gone, your uterus is gone, your vagina is gone, replaced with a penis. So, you as a woman, now have a male body. You have a “sex at birth” body basically as male, you have a gender identity that is female and that female gender identity you currently have, you've had since birth right. So, voila, you are magically now what is medically categorized as "trans-gender".

There is no denying, delusion, blah blah. Being trans is a medically and scientifically proven event based in biology, there is simple medical fact that you have a male body and a female brain. Do you understand that as I have described so far ?

If you want technical terms, look at what happens at week 11 and 19 gestation with certain genetic markers and hormone in-balances, we get In-utero gender incongruence.

Now, what are you, the trans-woman going to do ? Are you going to accept you are now stuck with NO breasts, NO vagina and a masculine version of your face ? OR are you going to seek help and try and regain something like your original self, take hormones, and maybe some or all surgery to at least achieve a somewhat visually original you ? Yes – transition.

This is what it is to be a trans-gender person. This is why transitioning happens. Not due to a delusion or some fun dress up.

Ask most trans-gender people if they would choose to be trans-gender, they will tell you NO. It is an uphill battle with verbal abuse, stress, loosing most or all you're family and friends, taking meds and maybe costly surgery. Ask them now that they know what it's like being a woman, would you like ti just wake up as a woman, most say yes they would.
