Sexual offenders UK updated with reality ...

There is a cute little graphic that has been going around facebook for about a year or two that contains colorful little people and some statistics on how many trans-gender people are in prison for being sexual predators and therefore shows per capita values.

Sorry to say, the numbers are a bunch of nonsense, here is why ...

So it shows some pretty spectacular values for the little amount of trans-gender people at just 92.

These would be amazing if they were based on real numbers.  So lets go and get the real numbers and then re-do the math and see what happens shall we ?

As of 2023 there are 87,000 cisgender-men in prison in the United Kingdom, as of 2020 there are 12,774 sex offenders not 11,660.  There are 3,651 cisgender women in prisons as of 2025, of which about 4% are sex offenders which is 146 not 108.

According to the 2021 Census, there is a 262,000 trans-gender population.  34.4 million men in the UK, based on late 2024.  2024, there are an estimated 35.5 million women in the UK.

Therefore the amount of male and females in the UK population listed on the diagram is off by 5 million people for each demographic.  That is 17% off the actual number PER group, that is a staggering 34%.  Now the trans-gender group is where things get messy, you see the United Kingdom is and always has been a very homophobic society.  There has been a significant under-reporting of LGBTQ+ citizens due to simple fear of being outed.

So the numbers show conservatively are 262,000 - 214,000 off base from the shown 48,000.  this is then this off by 500%.

Generally speaking across planet earth there are approximately 1% of the population is trans-gender, this pretty much matches the US.  The UK theoretically should also show 1%, however it doesn't, likely to do with the under-reporting or in many cases, non-reporting.  So what is the likely real number of trans-gender people in the United Kingdom based on current 70m population ?  It would be around 700,000.  This is far different than the low estimate of only 48,000.

Before we crunch the numbers, lets look at the actual offenders.  We have 92 that are listed as trans-identifying.  In the UK, what exactly is that ?  Well, in the UK there is a quasi registration for trans-gender people called the Gender Recognition Certificate.  As of March of 2025 there have been a total of 9,633 issued.  The GRC isn't compulsary and is simply in existence as a verification notice to allow gender marker changes and not a census of all trans-gender individuals.

The British criminal justice system has only as of late 2023 begun diferentiating between actual REAL trans-gender individuals using in-part the Gender Recognition Certificate and those cisgender males that simply say they identify as women, this later group are NOT considered trans-gender.  Therefore those 92 individuals cannot be broken in to one of those two categories.  Given that as of 2025 there were only 5 reported criminal cases of trans-gender people assaulting anyone, it's highly unlikely those 92 are realistically all trans-gender.  The other problem is that it's common for inmates to assume trans-gender roles in order to lighten prison sentences, therefore skewing the numbers.  What also makes the numbers unclear is the reporting methods, this by their own omission means we don't really know, but it is a low number.

But, as we don't know and also the UK criminal justice know, lets pretend that all 92 are trans-gender just so we can crunch some numbers.

34.5m males in the UK of which are 12,774 sex offenders incarcerated.  There are a total of 70,052 registered male sex offenders in the UK as of 2024.

So lets do the math 34,500,000 / 70,052 = 492.5   100 / 492.5 = 0.2% or per million population is 2031 – holy frik :-/  the graph implies 395, that again is way off by 600%.

Oh oops, forgot to include the incarcerated, oh boy, so that up's the total count to … 82,826, so the new improved ugly number is … 2,400.75 per million male offenders, woo hoo.

35.5m women in the UK, there 49 registered female sex offenders as of 2024.  This is significantly inverted from how many sexual predators are actually incarcerated.  Nope, not even going there, the numbers would be too insignificant.  Uhm, ok, for kicks and giggles …

Let actually take the prison population and the outside registry combined for a total, so 200 +/-

35,500,000 / 200 = 177,500    100 / 177,500 = too small, however as per million capita is 5.6 per million population.  The graph says 3 per million which wrong by almost 50% but not any far as the cisgender males.

Out of potentially 700,000 trans-gender people in the UK, thus likely 350,000 trans-women, there are “maybe” 60, but, there are no government records related to any on the sex offender registry, but again, reporting methods vary. We'll just need to use another guess.

350,000 / 60 = 5,833     100 / 5,833 = 0.017%, our per capita of million population is 171.

( I also ran the numbers just keep the 92 and 262,000 from REAL census data and its 351 per million, which is still 6 times less than cisgender males.  Sorry, doesn't matter how you bake the cake, trans-women just are not the crazy predators like real-men are. )

So this is significantly LOWER than cisgender male, even if we cook-the-books against trans-people.  What we have as far as numbers, are in a few cases, guesses as far as census information and real numbers, the reality is likely significantly LOWER still.

Just using the above numbers cisgender males are 12 times more likely to be sexual predators than trans-women, which is 1,200% - THAT is the real numbers, NOT what the graph implies with its false data.

And finally, my updated chart here using the above corrected dataset ...  Your welcome ...

Here is a current reference that supports the data ...

The biology of a trans-woman from an assault perspective ...

One thing to also consider about trans-women being blamed for assaults is that a trans-woman has testosterone and estrogen at the same or near levels of cis-gender women.  This mean's in general that genitals shrink, libido is significantly lower, thus, there is a significant inability by a trans-woman to even physically assault anyone.

As the above numbers are based on the UK, lets look at 2025 for the number of assaults by trans-women, there were 5.  The assault perpetuated by cis-gender males in the same year on women was a staggering 760,000.  Assaults committed by cis-gender women - none available.
